Play by play



Below is my botched attempt at making a cartoon. Sometimes the pencil sketch is drawn on a separate piece of paper then put under a piece of bristol ove a light table. That method proved too time consuming for a sunday so I went straight pencil on the final board.








After the final drawing is touched up and inside the magic computer, I apply a duo shade technique in photoshop that give a nice 44 degree line pattern to fake gray areas.

Most of the time cartoons lose detail when they're published online. On the editorial page you can notice the small details. On the web, the details tend to hide behind the pixels. Below are some of the details that may get lost on the screen.
