Technically, Al Gore never won an Oscar for the movie "An Inconvenient Truth." The actual award went to the film's director.

Technically, you're right.
I tried to say it without saying it with this toon. Although he didn't win the oscar himself, Davis Guggenheim chose to have him accept the award because, as many say, it was "his film".
I messed with putting an asterisk next to the Gore language but decided against it in the eleventh hour...Lieberman didn't act in "Closeted Republican". -
